CDC Dance Troupe

About the Troupe

The CDC dance troupe is a group of young artist and performers who are involved in a summer-long production of a CDC New Work. Youth involved in the dance troupe are cast in acting and dance roles for the summer show. The troupe travels to various nursing homes and organizations presenting CDC inspirational theatre-style dance performances.  

What We Do

We want to become a part of the community, engaging with people face-to-face!

 

Community performances consist of a unique 15-30 minute theatre-style dance/ acting show geared toward cultivating fun and good spirits. The show will contain a specific themed message/ title with a compilation of 3-4 songs to accompany and complement the theme of the performance. 

Community performances include, but are not limited to:

  • Nursing Homes

  • Churches

  • Organizations (youth & adult)

  • Schools (Elementary, Middle, High Schools and Colleges)

What We've Done
A total of 4 New Works (one every summer) Created through the Organization
Dance classes for City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department
summer youth enrichment program
Dance Fitness workshops for National Junior Tennis & Learning - Houston
and much more!
